Pillar 3: Ecosystem/framing conditions

Session 3.1 – Networks/lab to fab/ecosystems

30 October 2018, 13:30-15:30, room STRAUSS 3

Facilities for upscaling materials and products do exist in the European Union and European, national, and regional programmes have supported their development for many years. However, public subsidies have been funding only part of the research and innovation ecosystem. Federating all relevant infrastructures for upscaling innovation, including those in industry premises, is a crucial challenge for EU industry. Based on descriptions from panellists of the main systems currently at EU level, this session will look at ways to integrate them in a real ecosystem.
